Quick Draw McBlog
I'm paying for last night. No, I'm not hung over, but I feel like it. Had a surge of creative energy and ended up staying up 'til 5:30a.m. on the computer and have been at poor performance all day today. It's been a breeze of a day, but instead of making even the slightest bit on-line, today was a shop and stock up day, so that means spending. Now I am way behind the earning curve.
Since I was up until the wee early hours, I was diligent to keep checking my PPP tab for advertising job opportunities and nothing was popping up, even though they are 3 hours ahead. Someone was on the east coast, feet propped up, slurping on their caramel, mocha, viva, jaffa jabba the hut 1/2 caf delight while they are supposed to be posting job opps on the board for us posties to grab up. Sure, that schlomo gets paid to enjoy their breakfast at the desk, "just push the button and post those jobs Nancy!"
I couldn't hang in there any longer. I knew I was committed to going to town, shopping with my friend and her kids today, so I had to get some shut eye. I crawled off the couch about 10:30 and immediately checked the PPP opportunity job listing. I slept through that round of whatever was offered.
This story has a point beyond tired ramblings.
Always keep your PPP tab open and check it as often as you can stand. I just checked again after that last sentence, and it looks like two more popped up that I missed. You get used to it, but it doesn't make it any easier, especially since I spent $210 dollars today.
It's a catch 22. I checked the listings just before starting this post. I got distracted, into the thought process of typing this out, and coulda shoulda woulda checked back sooner. When I did check and saw that the list was two postings longer (but grayed-out, as in 'reserved' by other posties), that tells me if I had only checked sooner, I would have scored a paid job opp or two.
